"Animal welfare is a main topic integrated in the European regulations. It is taken more or less in consideration in the vocational curricula of agriculture according to the country. Nevertheless it is usually considered as a constraint by the farmers more than as an opportunity. The project brings together 10 varying organizations (universities, colleges, advisers and farmers training institutions, Farmers union), from 5 countries (Belgium, Finland, France, Portugal, Spain) to create a pedagogical toolkit and two curricula aimed at integrating animal welfare within farmers consciousness as a pragmatic and ethical topic. The project aims to increase interest in and consideration for the controversial animal welfare topic within the professional activities of farmers through tools and two curricula (one for farmers, one for farmers trainers) which enable the implementation of a critical, creative and ethical reasoning in the respect of the context, constraint, wishes and needs of each trainee. The curricula and the toolkit enable to implement constructive debates between trainees (students, farmers) and/or within an extended community (researcher, adviser, student, farmer) about animal welfare technics, ethics, and animal welfare economical promotion. They participate to support the empowerment of the farmers and students-farmers, and contribute to implement a pedagogy based on the dialogue between the experiential, technical and scientific knowledge and the ethical issues. The first curriculum aims to train farmers animal welfare enabling a critical thinking and the integration of animal welfare as a main lever for the farm. The second one enables to train farmer educators (veterinarians, farmers advisors, teachers in vocational schools in agriculture) to take a posture of accompanior and animator to train animal welfare. Both of them have been built according to experimentations realized by the partners Anicare and are presented through key pedagogical steps which can adapted according to the specific context of the trainer. The pedagogical strategies that they propose are based on the use of a wide panel of movies showing divergent practices and farmers reasonings, animal behaviors in different farming situations, and movies of researchers, advisers and farmers commenting the farmer practices. Aniphi, a platform based on Delphi method, is more particularly proposed to implement a by-distance respectful debate with these movies . All the outputs are presented on the website Anicare www.erasmus-anicare.eu. Thanks to the diversity and to the wealth of its partnership, and to the originality of the chosen educational method; the project ""Anicare"" gives a new perspective on a first-rate theme still insufficiently developed in program of vocational training."

"Peripheral European rural areas are facing risks of ageing, depopulation and abandonment of rural heritage and resources, rising risks as fires and fires impact with fatal consequences. It is of vital importance to implement joint smart strategies to stop depopulation and empower with entrepreneurship education and internationalization to those that strive to develop projects in those contexts. To create conditions for resilience in these fragile rural areas is urgent. Adult entrepreneurs who have bet for remaining, living and working in little towns and villages are key agents for their survival. Cultural Heritage creative and innovative management may be a link for tourism attraction and an inspiration for new job opportunities. Music festivals, museums, thematic routes and villages, historical recreations are examples of good practices where creativity, innovation and entrepreneurship can impact on rural places and areas.A considerable effort has been dedicated to foster entrepreneurship education and attract tourism in these areas, but it has not succeeded to revert negative population flows. Only a few entrepreneurship projects succeed while many others, after great personal and public efforts fail and end with frustration and migration. To reinforce the resilience of these projects, it is fundamental to increase innovation, networking and internationalization. For this, Cult-Rural+ seeks to introduce rural and neo-rural entrepreneurs to strategic training, networking, community of practice and internationalization. It focuses on the creation of EPALE and moodle community of practice for mutual and peer-to-peer acquisition of competences, for transferring strategic thinking skills and for favouring networking in order to build up strong inter-related communities and start up branding attempts in the areas involved in the project.Innovation is a keyword in all the processes and activities of Cult-rural+. Team coordinators from partner organizations will be responsible to search the most innovative e-learning technologies and courses to offer participant adult learners.Challenges in European depopulated peripheral rural regions are common but solutions to those challenges vary greatly from one region to other, so one of the most relevant benefits of trasnational projects is inspiration and transfer of innovative good practices cases. Objectives:The project Cult-Rural+ brings together rural municipalities, universities and SMEs working in cultural heritage for rural development. It aims to integrate a programme of internationalisation, entrepreneurship education and innovative digital strategies in adult education for local development in rural areas in risk of depopulation. It seeks to address the need for internationalization, entrepreneurship education, capacity building and networking in European rural areas for the promotion of sustainable and integrative development. The project's thematic scope encompasses a number of areas and its objectives follow the lines of the ""Council Resolution on a renewed European agenda for adult learning (2011/C 372/01)"" : 1. Competences up-skilling & innovative training for adults -in particular the low-skilled and older entrepreneurs and civil servants— to improve their ability to adapt to changes in the labour market and society in rural areas. 2. Glocal networking for sustainable local development (e.g. social eco-markets, European projects and thematic networks). 3. Entrepreneurship education and strategic thinking training to rural entrepreneurs4. Entrepreneurship education and strategic thinking training to rural municipal majors and councillors for resilience, governance and internationalization 5. Coaching to adult entrepreneurs and civil servants for active citizenship and personal development through lifelong learning6. "INTEGRURAL is a strategic partnership (SP) that brings together a public government institution, universities and SMEs dealing with sustainable development in the field of agricultural productionand cultural heritage. It seeks to address the need for educational activities aiming at capacitybuilding and networking in - and between - European rural areas for the promotion of sustainable andintegrative development. Furthermore, with the recent experienc of the lockdown due to COVID-19, it will also explore ways of using digital media for promoting, marketing and even seling products through on-llineapppllications and networks. INTEGRURAL involves training actions for persons acting as entrepreneurs and/or as members ofproducers’ organisations, NGOs and cultural institutions in rural areas. Its thematic scopeencompasses agricultural production, stockbreeding activities, promotion of cultural (immaterial)heritage, and local branding in an integrated approach. The two main objectives of the Strategic Partnership are (1) to set in motion a structured trainingprocess through a three-tier training module (training of trainers, local training actions, jobshadowing), and (2) to build on the training process for the formation of local business clusters. These clusters will create together a ""virtual hub"" that will enable the exchange of information, ofgood practices and know-how, as well as the elaboration of strategies for added-value incentives andlocal branding. The clusters, interlinked in the ""virtual hub"", will serve as focal points for cooperativesolutions and the promotion of innovation in rural areas.INTEGRURAL will contribute to the development of local capacities towards cooperation, creativity, networking, and extroversion. Making use of the local potential (agricultural products, dairy products, organic farm products, heritage assets, natural reserves etc.), along with an intelligent approach totransnational cooperation and information exchange through the uuse of digital tools, INTEGRURAL can create and distributeknowledge, and take rural communities out of seclusion. This, in its turn, can lead to a moreintegrated and sustainable development of these localities, far beyond simple ""growth"" exigencies ofmodern economies. This integrative approach can create meaningful linkages between economic activity, naturalenvironment and cultural heritage, in order to blend innovatively past wisdom and local identity withstate-of-the-art models for social economy and sustainability. In addition, energy-saving solutionsand organic farming can lead to a more rational use of local resources and thus to greater selfsustainability of rural regions. All the above are of crucial importance for rural areas, which try to find their place in the national,European and global socioeconomic context, to train, sustain and enlarge the local workforce, and todevelop capabilities that combine productively tradition and innovation. To this aim, transnationalcooperation is the most important factor. European rurality is at the same time multifaceted and subject to many commonalities, stemmingfrom comparable nation-state politics and from similar productive activities within their geographicalarea. This means that the challenges, which European rural localities have to face are to a largeextent common and have to be addressed transnationally."
