It has arisen from a network of existing partnerships of different schools within Europe. Although the majority of us is taking part in ongoing projects, all of us represent an attitude of not being able to idly stand facing everyday-life issues and situations; on the contrary, all participants are ready to act – detect new issues, discuss and analyse them, create an opinion and share it via the most powerful way – the power of the written word.Accomplishing the main objective, establishing an online student created European magazine, will empower students and provide them with the skills needed to succeed in their future lives. First, it seeds the idea of entrepreneurship and engagement among the youth willing to write, edit and enrich their classmates, teachers and communities by developing their digital skills in order to share their thoughts to a wide audience. These digital skills will include mastering a number of web tools necessary to edit and design an online magazine, upload and edit photos and videos, create comics and diagrams, write blog posts, and maintaining a website. The acquisition of these skills will benefit students in their future lives. Secondly, the magazine is not written in their native languages. English is used as the “lingua franca”, which will lead to general improvement of writing skills and other forms of expression in this useful language. Each of the contributors – pupils and teachers– enrich their vocabulary, deepen their sense of grammatical structures, practice accuracy and fluency. Besides the linguistic skills, personal and inter-personal competences are developed, too. Prompt, flexible and empathic communication is the essential condition for all participants. Eighty students and ten teachers from the five participating countries: Poland, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Germany and Macedonia will take part in the student exchanges and the short term staff trainings. At least twenty students from disadvantaged backgrounds will be included in the project activities. Whole schools – both students and teachers – will take part in the project through questionnaires, attending public presentations and participant led staff trainings, and viewing and reading the magazine. Students and teachers who are not able to attend the trainings and pupil exchanges, will be able to actively participate through the online portion of the project on E-twinning. Over the course of the project students and teachers from these regions will work on their own development by taking up new skills, learning from their own experience through innovative approaches leading to a general improvement of the quality of teaching and learning processes at schools. There will be five student exchanges, along with five teacher trainings in each participating country. During the student exchanges students will lead the work on completing the first five issues of the magazine: cultural heritage, modern technology, human relations, fashion, and environment. Students will be required to critically examine issues from their own communities and come up with solutions. They will be engaged in different types of activities to complete all aspects of the magazine. Students will work in groups on the main issue, history section, analyzing and writing articles on the questionnaires, creating comics, presenting the host country’s cultural and educational information, photo diary, blog, and vlog. Teachers will receive expert led training on the following topics: how to deal with student motivation and failures, modern technology in the classroom, inclusion, creativity and Content Language Integrated Learning approach (CLIL), and student social-emotional intelligence. As a result of the creation and distribution of VOICES, we expect our students to develop key skills and competences necessary to succeed in today’s digital world. Students will also significantly improve their English writing and speaking skills, and cultural awareness. By having them reflect and come up with solutions on critical contemporary issues they will become and continue to be active participating European citizens. As a result of students working with their peers from countries across Europe, we expect them to understand and embrace equality, diversity, and inclusion. From the teacher’s training in this project, we expect teachers to become better educators positively effecting their students` future and society in general.

After preliminary contacts on Etwinning and after discussing the importance of digital resources in language learning/teaching, we decided to create a partnership and we chose the name"" Diving Into Digital Language Learning (DIDLL)"" for the project to emphasize the ever increasing importance of technology for personal and professional growth. The project stems from the necessity to improve digital and language skills by blending them together. Both teachers and students, particularly those who aren't yet confident with the use of these resources, will hugely benefit from this project. In addition, inclusive education has become one of the priorities of all schools and that's why this project gives high relevance to inclusion, as students with learning difficulties/disabilities usually have a positive approach towards digital devices. In particular students with neurological or medical conditions who have difficulty controlling writing utensils may find it easier to use a keyboard. Similarly, students with economic or social obstacles, who don't have daily access to digital devices will also greatly benefit from this project as they will be given the opportunity to become more familiar with technology. The participants will also develop cultural awareness as they will interact with students of different nationalities. Each one of the partners will have a sense of belonging, with the same European values even though each and every one of us has a different background. This will lead to a common European identity. The objectives are strictly related to the priorities. The first priority is to lead our students to improve their digital and linguistic skills in an open, innovative learning environment. As for the second priority, we aim to promote inclusive education, so that students with fewer opportunities, coming from disadvantaged social and /or economical backgrounds and those with learning difficulties or with a tendency to leave school early, can improve their digital and language skills. Many activities that promote social inclusion will be carried out. Of vital importance is the reduction of every kind of discrimination including gender-related disparities, social/racial discrimination, bullying and all kinds of violence. The third choice is related to our goal to strengthen the recruitment, selection and professional development of everyone involved in the educational system (teachers, trainers, administration staff etc.) through cross-cultural cooperation as there will be a mutual interaction among similiar types of institutions from different countries. Approximately 120 students aged 12-16, and 60 teachers will be involved in the LTT activities. About 2200 students and members of the school community and more than double this number of parents of the students and a great number of Erasmus+ beneficiars/language learners will take part in the project directly or indirectly. Activities:-Using online games in foreign language learning.-Basic programming and robotics in English classes-The added value of Digital storytelling in the language classroom-Safe and wise use of the internet-The use of digital tests and quizzes in foreign language teaching-My Digital Kit: How to integrate technology into the language syllabusOur partnership aims to develop interaction, promote innovation, exchange good practices, carry out peer and cooperative learning activities and have workshops and know-how among the organisations involved in education. Results and impactstudents will:- improve their digital and language skills -increase their cultural awareness-develop a stronger European identity-have a higher chance of entering the labour market-become more confident, open-minded and sociableTeachers will:-learn new innovative ICT based teaching methods-tools and methodologies- strenghthen their professional profile- exchange good practicesThe participating schools will: -have a more strategic and integrated use of ICT, open educational e-learning/teaching tools;- increase motivation for language learning/teaching through innovative teaching methods, - promote social inclusion - increase their quality of education and training - improve their provision and assessment of basic and transversal skills, language competences and media skills in the long runThe products of the project (App for mobile devices, Twinspace, Erasmus+ project results platform, website of the project, websites of the partner schools, digital calendar, online dictionary, videos, e-book) will live on long after the project is completed and will be regularly updated and enriched. Also, due to the accessibility of internet, the bullying and discrimination phenomena reached huge dimensions and are more complex. We believe people must know how to react in case of bullying, protect others and limit it. We want to contribute to educating people on this topics and create some instruments for anyone interested, combining the experience and different backgrounds of 5 European schools with the same interests and priorities that started an eTwinning similar project.Objectives:-Raise awareness of the bullying and discrimination-Create a support group for the discriminated, disadvantaged or bullied ones-Improve the communication abilities and language skills of participants-Educate: how to react in case of bullying or discrimination, detecting fake news, safe use of social communication platforms-Create materials which can be used by other schools or communities to limit the effects of fake news and of discrimination-Improve the language skills of the teachers, the team work skills for both students and teachers and use ICT to improve cooperation -Promote the understanding of different cultural heritagesParticipants:Students: 30 from each school, 13-17 years old (from which 20 in international meetings), that is 150 students (100 in international meetings); more than 600 students will attend the dissemination activities and in total 4500 will benefit from the project’s results (the schools’ students and others participating in festivals, workshops, etc)Teachers: 4 teachers from each country, a total of 20 teachers. The target groups will consist of all the teachers in the partner schools, about 250 teachers.Parents: about 60 parents from each school-that is 300 people, who will participate in hosting, in dissemination activities.Local communities’ officials’ representatives, experts, policy makers and other stakeholders: 6-10 from each country, who will participate in the implementation phase of the project (and in the conferences organized in the international meetings) and as sponsors in international meetings. (30 to 50 people)As the title shows, we have 2 topics: 2BSafe, that is Safe Browsing (communication) and Bullying Safe. We will create 2 groups who will tackle the 2 directions of the project: -the B1 group in charge with the communication part of the project (rules of safe communication, how to make a profile on social networks, fake news and how they impact our lives)-the B2 group in charge with anti bullying and discrimination (create and present a drama on bullying in a drama festival, creating a support group in each school for the bullying and discrimination victims, create a set of rules on how to react in case of bullying or discrimination). Reference points: 5 international meetings, where the teams work together, present their activities and decide upon the final results of the project, create relationships, increase their communication and linguistic skills and teamwork abilities.Apart from the general activities (management, dissemination), each group follows its specific agenda: -B1:how to make an on-line account on social platforms, The Decalogue for safe communication, how fake news impact my life-politics and health, exhibition and OER on eTwinning, The Decalogue for detecting and protecting yourself from fake news-B2: workshops on choosing a bullying case and treating it in a play, play script and repetitions for the drama, presenting the play in a drama festival and in international meeting, campaign for raising awareness of the discrimination and bullying phenomena, creating a support group in each school for the discrimination and bullying victims, The Decalogue of Stop bullying.Results:-A project website on eTwinning-Improved awareness of the bullying phenomena-Improved knowledge on how to react and limit discrimination, bullying-Know how to detect fake news and materials about Fake news and health, Images that lie-playscript on bullying phenomena-1 video on safe on-line communication on social platforms-The Decalogue of Safe on-line Communication-The Decalogue of Stop BullyingImpact:-schools will offer a safer and more attractive environment-participants will have some basic skills on Safe Browsing and will be able to stay and help others stay Bullying free.-school will offer materials that will improve the learner’s capacity of detecting and protecting themselves from fake informationWe believe our project’s results will benefit a large category of people, due to its topicality. Everybody using the internet needs some basic safety rules, which we will provide through our project, as well as communication hints. The on-line communities, any school, institution will be able to use the project’s results as they will be available on eTwinning, Erasmus results platform and links.
