Youth are the main characters in the future of the European Union, since they have the responsibility to propose, imagine, and build our society in years to come, but their dynamism and enthusiasm often contrasts their lack of experience. One of the ways in which these young people can change society is by helping to promote the inclusion of one of the groups that need it the most: the elderly and seniors.Today’s society has an image of the elderly that is far from appealing or enviable, which generates a social discrimination towards old age that leads to a culture where people do not want to age.Discrimination by age causes society to exclude the elderly, and they themselves seem in many cases willing to socially “exile” themselves, not appreciating the importance that their knowledge can have on the learning and growth of young people. How many young people live in their homes with their grandparents? How many of them live under the same roof without truly “living together”? Many young people do not know what their grandparents and grandmothers can teach them, and just consider them another furniture item of the house, not understanding everything that they can provide.Helping to reactivate the elderly, finding ways for their social inclusion, and promoting their active aging is a way for young people to learn from their seniors through an exchange of experiences and an intergenerational dialogue. This is a process that will help their grandparents, also strengthening the family unit, and help young people to develop their skills. This objective is in line with the values of the EU, which has begun to fight discrimination based on age and disability. Aware of the great importance of older people, the European Commission has undertaken legislative initiatives to promote intergenerational dialogue and active aging. Thus, the EU adopted in year 2000 the Directive 2000/78 /EC, and in 2012 a proposal for a directive prohibiting discrimination based on age. Both with the H2020 program and in Erasmus Plus, active aging is made a priority for EUROPE.But these legislative measures cannot, on their own, put an end to discrimination based on age or change our culture. This is why it is necessary to develop a new culture, and the best place to do this is in individual homes through the direct involvement of young people. Since February 2017, the project “SEE-JUDGE-ACT” has worked to make young people become active agents that promote social re-integration and the inclusion of their own grandparents, starting from their home environment, while learning and benefiting from intergenerational dialogue and the life experiences of their elders. During 23 months, an intersectorial partnership has implemented an innovative methodology at the European level called SEE-JUDGE-ACT to train youth as promoters of inclusion and active aging for their grandparents in their home environment, while fostering intergenerational dialogue as a training tool for young people that reinforces household.During this time, we managed to generate a close and sustainable European network capable of proper networking, improving the practices of partner entities by internationalizing their projects, and giving them a greater European impact. To carry it out, we held 4 transnational meetings (in Belgium, Spain, Portugal, and Bulgaria) in which we managed to develop all the planned intangible results, and also many national activities (involving experts, youth, seniors, and occupational therapists) in which we developed all the tangible results, especially the “virtual ToolBox” that contains diverse materials with great impact on youth, within a web portal of European impact connected with social networks. Thus, this project has achieved all its proposed objectives, creating impactful results for its partners and collaborators (which will improve their European impact and working capabilities), for young people themselves (providing them with outreach tools for their training as therapists starting from non-formal and informal methodology, such as a forum for the exchange of good practices that strengthens intergenerational dialogue, and resources for online training), and also for the elderly, who will strengthen their ties with their grandchildren and develop an active aging. So, we believe that we have taken a first step, to be followed by many more, thanks to the creation of a sustainable network that addresses two of the major European challenges: a better training for young people through non-formal and informal, and an active aging for the elderly.

This project arises from the interest of the organizations that are part of the consortium that encourages it to contribute to the construction of a critical citizenship, in solidarity with people and responsible for the planet, through the strengthening of capacities in teachers and students to develop the new global educational competence collected in PISA 2018 (PISA 2018 framework, Global Competence). For this, we have developed 5 didactic proposals for the classroom and their didactic and teacher training guides and a multilingual online platform with free access, in turn, we have contributed to strengthening the capacities of teachers through theoretical and practical training, for the development of educational interventions that facilitate the development of this competence in students and within the framework of formal education. To this end, the consortium made up of the Oxfam Intermón Foundation (Spain), the Escola Superior de Educação do Instituto Politécnico de Leiria (Portugal), Espais Telemàtics (Spain), AIDGlOBAL (Portugal) and Oxfam Italia (Italy) have worked together in the development of the online educational proposal Conectando mundos (www.conectandomundos.org), which is a proposal that integrates the theoretical and practical training of teachers for the promotion of knowledge, values, attitudes and skills of global competence in the classroom, as well as a practical proposal of activities for students, for collaborative work between students from different countries, mainly Spain, Italy and Portugal. The activities carried out were mainly: - 5 educational proposals for the classroom aimed at students from 6 to 17 years of age, in which 16,525 students have participated, from 10 countries: Spain, Portugal, Italy, Colombia, Ecuador, El Salvador, Malta, Mexico, Peru and Morocco and 356 schools. -5 didactic guides for teachers -1 online platform for collaborative work between classrooms in different educational centers, with collaboration and communication tools -training module for teachers on global competence and the subject of teaching proposals: sustainable development and climate change -Evaluation questionnaires for the teaching staff and for the student body participating in the project. The educational proposal Connecting worlds in which all activities are framed, is based on collaborative online work between students from different contexts and diversities, through collaborative teams, students from different educational centers, carry out participatory activities in the classroom and share through of the internet, conclusions and resources, at the same time that they jointly develop a final product aimed at action for social transformation on a personal, environmental or global level. The educational proposal also has training materials and guidance guides for teachers, all on the same online platform.

"Chain project aimed to contribute to the Digitising European Industry initiative. Currently we are suffering a 'de-industrialisation' process, in part due to the rise of manufacturing in other parts of the world and the growing automation. In 2012, in response to this decline in the relative importance of industry, the EC set a target that manufacturing should represent 20% of total value added in the EU by 2020. Industry 4.0 (I4.0) could boost the productivity and value added of European industries and stimulate economic growth. As part of its new Digital Single Market Strategy, the EC wants to help all industrial sectors exploit new technologies and manage a transition to a smart industrial system. What I4.0 is trying to achieve is the improvement of the manufacturing process by utilizing atomization and data collecting. The effects of which are brought on by the implementation sensors, microcomputers and transceivers that allow the whole factory to not only have its physical embodiment, as also as a cyber-physical structure. This fact and cloud computing and other state of the art technologies will allow the machines to communicate with each in real time allowing for better performance, larger flexibility in product customization, decrease in labour costs, lower waste creation and the downtime of machines would be optimized. I Chain project aimed to provide a basis for the creation of new competencies for HE students and SMEs (managers and owners) to deal with the change brought by this “revolution”. Europe needs to learn to deal with a profound digitisation of society which is already blurring the lines between workers and self-employed, goods and services, or consumers and producers. there are challenges for SMEs in participating in I4.0 supply chains (costs, risks, reduced flexibility and reduced strategic independence). Partnership was coordinated by the Polytechnic of Leiria/ CDRsp (HE and Research Center on production technologies - Portugal) and partnered by: AidLearn (Training, Action-Research and HR Consulting Company - Portugal); ECQ Ltd (Business Consulting Company- Bulgaria); ESTIA (HE Advanced Industrial Technologies - France) and FH-Joanneum University (HE Business Studies – Austria). It is a multidisciplinary team balanced between research and direct experience with the target groups and pooling together the required background and know how in the financial, technical and scientific areas as well as in European projects experience to fulfill the project objectives. Project consisted of 5 main outputs: 1. Brochure “I4.0: A comprehensive approach, main features and impacts” (topics are: Definition of I4.0. Main elements of I4.0; Linking, Innovation and I4.0, Theories of innovation and technological revolution; the Transformation of the economy and society). 2. Battery of Case Studies, that demonstrated how I.40 was being correctly handled in real instances. 3. Course ""Strategic Digitisation of Organisations"" targeted to HE students and SMEs (managers and owners), to improve core competencies for I4.0 , based on a Manual in 5 modules (M1 What is indusy 4.0; M2 Case studies; M3 Strategies for I4.0; M4 Digital fabric and Additive Manufacturing; M5 Chain Lab: How to start a pilot project. Management of resources). This course aimed to provide the essential skills to create and manage companies that will strive in this new paradigm and be the pillars of the industrial strategy of the 21st century; Understand the evolution of different technologies and how they integrate in production processes; Optimize the use of new technologies through the product development and production cycle and Manage Qualified HR. Building on the previous outputs, Chain develops: 4. Strategic Guidelines for HE and new skills requirements for the “smart factory” and hyper-connected economy towards I4.0 (that we've sent to several HE institutions); 5. A web Interactive Documentary on “Industry 4.0 – What future for European SMEs in the digital economy?”, that increases the awareness and understanding this topic by different audiences. A Compendium (with Brochure, Case Studies, Course (and Manual), and Guidelines for new HE curricula about I4.0 ) and the web interactive documentary, may function as a basis for replication and training (both in companies and in academia). To be available in five languages: PT; BG; FR; DE and EN Long term expected Results • Accelerate the adoption of technologies and concepts of Industry 4.0 in the business fabric; • Improve SMEs and Higher education level of commitment and competencies for the new types of businesses and technological innovations • Improved overall competitiveness of companies (also compared to competitors from abroad) • Improve competencies of SMEs and their awareness of the competencies needed for I4.0 • Improve and change higher education curricula to provide learning that will allow students to agents of change and competitiveness in firms, managing and engineering within this new reality of I4.0"

<< Background >>Not only at EU level, but also worldwide, violence against women is the most important issue that drives to gender inequality and discrimination. This problem is even more important in the migrant population. Due to higher violence prevalence rates and higher challenge to access to the resources available, because of their administrative situation. Moreover, unfortunately, the higher education future professionals do not have available efficient training programs to better learn how to support these women, taking advantage of the use of digital tools that help greatly to improve the services and support to this target population.Psychology, social sciences and health students have a very important role in the fight against this type of violence, by promoting the human rights of these women from a gender perspective, being able to detect their needs and facilitating an appropriate response considering their rights, prevention and/or care policies and services.Higher education must use a new digital approach to better support the violence problem in this migrant population. Furthermore, these innovative digital tools manage better and can include innovative solutions to overcome the travel, language, and disabilities challenges that these women face. Moreover, also due to the Covid 19 pandemic, education has been transformed. Universities and higher education institutions have had to adopt online learning activities. These new technologies will make learning functional and efficient while achieving learning outcomes, increasing students’ interest and their motivation. These new learning processes are complementary and will dramatically improve the activities and work that the project partners organization are doing in this field.Furthermore, transnational scope of the project will benefit the project since applying the methodology to several contexts and educational systems will provide a more holistic perspective that will enhance the methodology and its applicability to different scenarios. This benefit, which might apply to any project, is even more important in 360 REWIN because the project is focused on the immigrant population, therefore it requires a better transnational understanding.<< Objectives >>360 REWIN strategic objective is to promote and develop specialized training programs for psychology, social work, and health undergraduate students. These professionals are key in the intervention with victims of this type of violence by providing adequate care that can respond to their most urgent needs. This main objective is built by several defined and realistic objective developments by the project partners based on their know-how, resources, and abilities. The project aims to have an impact on the migrant women inclusion, by training professionals so that they can identify and manage correctly as soon as possible women who have suffered gender-based violence, within the migrant population with a deep cultural biasWe also plan an inclusive intervention through the same VLP, to assist directly immigrant women and their familiar and social environment, with a self-assisted and self-managed training about violence against women. To do so, the project will deliver VLP tools that support different methodologies and are adapted to the needs of the target groups, both professionals and migrant women. These tools will translate into a more complete curriculum, with social and specialised training, which can be accredited digitally and securely, through synchronous and asynchronous training environments. To maximise outreach we propose to have non-tutored intervention workshops for the migrant population to identify needs as well as to help in case of insufficient resources. The project will make all these tools available to future psychology, health sciences and social workers graduates. As well as equipping governments and NGOs that work with the immigrant community, providing them with digital training tools that will enable them to deal with this problem better and efficiently.<< Implementation >>The project has three specific activities, apart from the core activities linked to the development of the project results. Project managementProject Coordinator, will be responsible for the financial management, among other key tasks, ensuring a full transparency within the Consortium within the contractual framework and a continuous monitoring of external and the internal risks that can directly affect our economic resources or the project implementation and developmentDevelopment Projects ResultsIn order to ensure a cross-sectional approach, part of the activities to be developed through the project results. It seeks to achieve results in learning and teaching activities (Toolkit), creating service infrastructures (VLP) and promoting decision-making through study and analysis (Best practices and Guidelines). Dissemination activitiesWith the aim of increasing the scope of action and impact of the project. Dissemination activities are planned that not only allow communicating the progress of the project. If not, it also facilitates the development of the necessary networking to expand its scope. Facilitating the experience of other target groups, offering them the tools and results of the project easily and free. We plan to collaborate in this stage with ePale and Erasmus+ Project Results, platforms. Quality and Assurance, Results evaluationThrough evaluation activities, which seek to measure the quality of the project, metrics that facilitate the fulfillment of the project objectives. As well as having tools to evaluate the understanding of the contents, and the degree of help offered by the interventions carried out by the professionals trained in the framework of the project.Mutiplier Events:The first event “New teaching perspectives in the intervention with gender violence victims in high education curricula” is aimed at lecturers from Nursing, Occupational Therapy, Social Education, Audiovisual Communication and Law degrees. The main goal is to disseminate the outcomes of the Toolkit R1 and VLP R2, as well as to provide feedback for VLP and to test it.The second event “International conference on interventions for inclusion” is aimed at raising awareness for the realization of research and intervention projects in violence against women.<< Results >>The project is divided in three main Project Results: -Toolkit of learning materials, services, and tools to support the training for higher education and psychology, social and students to better support violence against the women victims. Improving the skills of the students.- Virtual Learning Environment to deliver the training and the services to support tools and resources to support the victims based on their needs. This VLP will include the technology to support different adaptations to different disabilities and multiple languages (based on artificial intelligence the platform will automatically translate the content to several languages). and text2speech to adapt the contents to students and to participants with visual impairment, and even illiterate, so they can access the courses and carry them out with a technology adapted to their circumstances- Best practices guidelines and report with guidelines and collection of best practices and methodologies on how to support immigrants with issues related to violence and gender inequality. Best practices will be collected in all partner countriesThe project will be implemented by means of courses, optional subjects, adapting current subject contents by using tools, resources and blended learning methods specifically designed for university degrees.
