Cefalópodos: cerebros y comportamientos complejos en animales invertebrados

Los cefalópodos son moluscos que presentan importante innovaciones evolutivas, incluyendo un cerebro y un comportamiento complejo así como una morfología y fisiología muy diferentes del resto de moluscos (como los bivalvos y gasterópodos). La presente charla pretende dar un breve repaso a los últimos avances en la biología de estos animales con el fin de intentar explicar cómo su evolución, fisiología y comportamiento dieron lugar a un grupo de invertebrados que, paradójicamente, muestra importantes similitudes con los vertebrados; a pesar de tratarse de dos grupos separados desde hace mas de 550 millones de años.
