Fit for career

Description

"Erasmus+ project ""Fit for career"" involves four vocational technical schools from the Czech Republic, Bulgaria, Italy and Spain operating in the technical fields of machinery engineering and electrotechnics. The main motivation which brought partners togehther is the strong need to prepare skilled, experienced and confident employees for local, national and European labor market. Our aim is to build a long lasting partnership between partner schools and cooperate together in activities which will improve participiants' communicative skills in English, teach them basics of technical and business English, improve their professional vocational skills and also their social skills. The school partnership will also bring different cultures together in a meaningful context and provide people from different cultures opportunities to share their professional experience, soft skills and cultural traditions in an enjoyable way. Moreover, the teachers will also share their personal experience, methods or aims in teaching and enhance the quality in teaching. All of the activites are conceived the way they could be long lasting and repeated periodically with the future students as they are timeless and will bring benefits for present students and teachers as well as for future students and teachers. Present students and teachers can profit directly from the active taking part in the project and learning by doing, their mates, other school staff, local authorities, school founders can profit from the outputs which will be widely dissaminated at school as well as on public. What's more, the future students and teachers can also profit from the conlusions of the project evaluation which can lead to updating future activites. The project is mainly focused on secondary vocational students at the age of 15 - 19 studying the field of machinery engineering (focused on CNC operating and CNC programming, CAD/CAM constructions) or electrotechnics (focused on automation, robotics, PLC programming). Also students of economics or business academies could become important members of the school project teams too. English teachers and vocational subjects teachers will play an important role in the school project teams, they will lead the students' activities. Members of school management will be involved into the project teams as well, they will play an important role in the project dissemination and also they will provide a guarantee for the project to run smoothly in school and will engage cross curricular team work. About 20 students and 8 teachers from each partner school will directly take active part in the project activities and will attend the mobilities but other students, school staff, local authorities, parents, school founders and public will participate in local school activities which means hundreds of supported people overal in each partner country. The project contains a wide range of project activities using many of various resources which train diversible skills and knowledge. The activities can be split into two basic groups according to the content (training of professional and language skills, cultural issues) and into many other groups according the work methodology (lessons, workshops, presentations, excursions in local companies, visits to theme museums or exhibitions, trips to learn about the culture and traditional craft in the region, use of the Internet, digital tools and aplications, mutlimedia, forums, online meetings, performances, tutoring, peer tutoring and peer to peer education). The activities will continue throughout the two-year project period with at least one activity planned for each month of the school year. There is one short-term joint staff training event planned at the beginning of the project and later four short-term exchanges of groups of pupils which will happen once at each partner school. In the first year, activities are planned with the emphasis on the development of communicative skills, introducing the participants, schools, regions and traditions, creation of a project logo. In the second year we will focus mainly on the development of professional and language skills. The main project activities will last for five months and are called ""Fit for business"". The partner schools will simulate a real business relationship with the actual production of four products according to the orders of individual partners, preparation of technical documentation, realization of business correspondence and preparation of the exposition for the final trade fair, which will take place at the final project meeting in Bulgaria in May 2021. The outputs from all project activities and mainly four main outputs ( the multilanguage dictionary of technical terms and business language, eBook for labor market with profiles of technical professions, short film summarizing the project progress and the final Trade fair ""TechnoFest"" brochure) will be widely shared with public."
