<< Objectives >>The partners seek to create a more inclusive society for marginalised young people around Europe with Autism Spectrum Disorder and Down’s syndrome by facilitating their self-expression through creative means and capacity, therefore, to effect change regarding the social issues that affect them as individuals and the communities they represent. In addition to long-term skills in self-expression and social innovation and participation, we want to provide participants with pertinent resources.<< Implementation >>We will develop a research methodology with which we will design a curriculum for mental health professionals, an Express Yourself Platform for young people to disseminate art, and an Express Yourself Toolkit. Multiplier events taking place in the countries in which the partners operate will involve the promotion, dissemination, piloting and testing of each of these products in order to ensure their efficacy. We will market results, news, and events via several dissemination techniques.<< Results >>Our project will have materials and resources designed for accessibility, with up-to-date research on best SEN practice, that teach young people with Autism Spectrum Disorder and Down’s syndrome art, entrepreneurship, and a tailor-made digital platform to effect change through their implementation. Complementing these resources, we will produce curricula to train the teachers, custodians, healthcare workers and other professionals who may support those young people throughout this process.
