<< Objectives >>The devastating effects of natural hazards on communities and environment can be reduced significantly if citizens' awareness, knowledge, and perception are changed and their competencies about disaster mitigation, preparedness, response and recovery are developed. READY4DISasters aims to produce necessary digital tools to support citizens and volunteers in acquiring and developing basic skills and key competencies in preparation against fires, floods, and landslides.<< Implementation >>OER platform and training modules will motivate and provide volunteers with knowledge, methodology and skills to fight against disasters. The creation of IOS andAndroid games for each disaster type (fires-including industrial ones, floods, and landslides) and management in mobile applications brings out digital skills and competences for volunteers. Training activities, workshops, conference, pilot testing, and implementation of webinars also be used to reach wider community.<< Results >>The project will develop innovative training, digital and ICT tools to create resilient communities through awareness and preparedness against the risks of fire, flood, and landslide. National and international reports will be produced on awareness, resilience, and preparedness for the disasters. The project results will be the competence path planning tool for volunteers, the OER platform and training modules, interactive mobile app and games, and dissemination and promotion materials.
