Hold Everyone Together

Description

Our project HET (Hold Everyone Together) is based on the importance of providing every student but mostly disadvantaged students inclusive opportunities to join society and to become more competent as unique individuals. Our team is composed of five educational institutions from different countries (Serbia, Turkey, Greece, Poland, and Romania) with more than 3700 students aged between 14-19 and 150 teachers with different experiences, knowledge and beliefs but with common goals. We intend to apply 21st century skills to improve our students’ social and interpersonal competencies, show them different ways to learn and think, encourage them to work collaboratively with others in a coherent way, understand themselves better and develop their entrepreneurial, social, language and digital competences. Through our project we believe all of our students but mostly disadvantaged ones will improve their abilities and dignity on the basis of their identity. They will be aware of social, ethnic, linguistic and cultural diversity under the common framework of European heritage. We believe that early school leaving rates will decrease as students’ academic success increases through good bounds to school and students will improve their complex problem-solving, critical thinking, decision-making skills as well as their cognitive flexibility. We hope to create an environment for students where there will be no trace of racism and discrimination.Teachers participating in the project activities will develop understanding of pedagogical styles used in Europe, share their experiences, methods and will have an opportunity to observe different teaching environments and curriculums as well. Schools’ visibility will increase through our project and will attract more students in the future.Over 3700 participants will be involved including all the representatives of school community -students, teachers, staff and families. Administration, local community, local government, NGOs, educational centres, educators from other schools will also be participants of our project in one or another way.To achieve the project goals, we will manage our project activities integrated into 12 modules which include media literacy, self-esteem, respecting diversity, being a volunteer, self-awareness, interpersonal intelligence, managing stress and anxiety, natural awareness, being creative and innovative and decision-making. These skills will be dealt with through our project with participation of all students. During LTT activities students and teachers will develop an understanding for other cultures, traditions and lifestyles which will be a motivation to learn and use foreign languages, to travel and be familiar with European cultures and countries. All the activities done during our project will be student centred and will aim to integrate all students into social community in a coherent way. Web2.0 tools will be used both in order to facilitate learning and to enhance students personal and social skills. We will structure all learning environments in a way to encourage teamwork thus promoting cooperative approach in education. Students will be motivated to work in groups, to plan their own work, make a good division of work, help friends in need and evaluate their own work. The assessment will be covered during all periods of project and various assessment tools will be used to evaluate the assessment of the project and its goals before, during and after the project. We will use internal and external assessment approaches as well as diagnostic, formative and summative assessment tools. In order to reach as more people as possible, the project results will be disseminated widely. Different means of communication will be used and project outcomes will be disseminated in all native languages of partner schools and in English also. All project results and outcomes will be published on schools’ websites and social media publicly as well on eTwinning and Erasmus+ Project Results platforms. The e-book we plan to create will include all products of the project. And we also plan to have this e-book printed as brochures and distribute them to other schools, institutions and local communities. At the very end of the project each school will organize en exhibition for the products of the project. With this project, students will be familiar to different cultures, traditions and lifestyles and they will understand and respect them while developing international friendships and communication skills in English. It is mostly important for disadvantaged individuals to raise social and global behaviors for integrity and development of Europe as well. We hope this project will be the very first step for many future strategic partnerships and communication among teachers and students will be lifelong. We also believe that our project will increase the loyalty of students and teachers to the school, improve cooperation in schools and make our schools more visible.
