The project #Servus-Salut-Digi-Eco! focuses on the main topics environment, sustainability and digitalization. Two secondary colleges from Austria and France are involved in the project, the WIMO Klagenfurt/Austria and the Lycée F. SARCEY in Dourdan/France. In individual mobilities lasting for one or two months the participants from each school will deal with the project themes. The eTwinning platform will be used throughout the preparation phase and the implementation of the project.Ten students from each school will participate in this project and in an individual exchange per school year. Two project coordinators at each institution will be responsible for the implementation and the dissemination of the project. The WIMO secondary college in Klagenfurt/Austria will contribute their expertise concerning digitalization, the French partner school Lycée SARCEY will focus on the topics environment and sustainability. The participants from both countries will create videoclips related to various topics including consumerism, fast fashion and slowfood. These video clips will be presented to parents, teachers, students and regional school authorities in both countries. At the same time the best clips will be chosen and the winners will be awarded with prices. Furthermore, the projects participant will also illustrate their research work and personal experiences in individual e-books. Project activities and results will also continuously be published on the school homepages and school accounts on social media like Facebook and Instagram.Dealing with the project theme sustainability both at school and during the mobilities, will also improve the language competence of the students. The use of digital technologies will certainly boost the learners’ motivation, too. At the same time the students involved will learn about economic and touristic facts and they will get to know various aspects of the Austrian and French culture and traditions. This will foster mutual understanding and tolerance. The long-term effect of this project lies in the participants’ discussion and awareness concerning the importance of sustainability, from fair trade and recycling to slow food and trash fashion. Students will be able to grasp the impact and consequences of their personal daily activities. This will result in environmentally conscious thinking and eco-minded behaviour. Due to better language skills and a broadened cultural horizon the participants will have increased chances on the international job market in the long run. The teachers involved in the project and the project meetings will profit from sharing best practice examples as well as the use of digital media thus promoting a better quality of education.
