Reliable and predictable travel times, waiting times and handling times are essential but not guaranteed for carriers, shippers and terminals. In this project, logistics processes and traffic operations are integrally analyzed based on large amounts of traffic and logistics data to identify inefficiencies and to understand the potential of a combination of logistics and traffic management measures. An integrated logistics and traffic management model is also being developed to enable the most targeted deployment of measures. Together with practical partners, three pilots will be carried out during the project to test the most promising measures in practice.
