In the project ‘PA SCAN’ an international expertise network aims to develop a tool that enables early childhood services and (pre)schools to support healthy 24-hour movement behaviours in 0-6 years-old children. Although there is strong empirical evidence indicating early childhood as a crucial phase in developing healthy movement patterns, to date no clear policy and practical guidance is available for childhood services and (pre)schools to support healthy movement. The aim of the current tool is to provide policymakers in municipalities, childhood services and (pre)schools with guidance and practical support to stimulate children’s healthy movement behaviours in the future.
