In this repository we present the code we created to produce the simulations for this paper. The "readme" file gives details of the different scripts. All coding was done in MATLAB and the user should be able to run the scripts on a machine with MATLAB or Octave installed on it. We also include a Python script which we used to analyse some data, given as a Jupyter notebook (.ipynb extension). The python code reads in and processes empirical data to produce some of the plots in the main manuscript. The data files are: 1. Fig3BResults3.csv: produces Figure 3B. 2. Fig3CDataStripe_dev_stripes.csv: produced Figure 3C. The data is provided as supplementary files.
